The first two fields are REQUIRED - Event Title and Event Description. The event will not be accepted for a submission without these two fields being completed. Please write a description of several sentences to fully describe the event. This extended description improves the entry and makes it easier to find by internet search engines. Please also INCLUDE the event date, starting and ending times and the cost so that if there is an error entering that information in the rest of the form, we can edit it for you to speed up the approval and publishing of the event.
Event Image: Be sure to add a photograph for your event. For the best results, it should be a horizontal image with the most important elements in the center of the photo. If you do not upload an image, a generic image for your category of event - e.g. dance, film, music, etc. - will appear with the event.
Be sure to use the drop down menu for the Venue and Organizer fields. If your venue or your organizer are in the drop down menus, click on it to automatically fill the fields. If it is not already there, you can add the information.
Additional Fields: If your event is one that is funded by a NYSCA DEC grant from CCAC, you must check that box.
Event Cost: If your event is FREE, be sure to put a zero (0) in the COST BOX, not in the currency symbol box. DO NOT put a dollar sign ($) in the cost box, just the dollar amount. You do not need to change the currency symbol box. If there is a price range, or a multi-event subscription price, please put that information in the description. There should only be one number in this box, not text.
Please enter ALL the information you want as there is NO option for you to edit the submission once it is submitted.
Finally, all events must be approved before they appear on the website, so your event will NOT immediately appear on the website. It is pending approval before being published. PLEASE DO NOT RE-SUBMIT the event, or there will be multiples in the approval queue.
