Routes to Art Studio Tour, May 18 & 19, 2019
What is Routes to Art? Routes to Art, on the weekend of May 18-19, 2019, is a self-guided open studio tour which takes place in artist studios in Cattaraugus County. Use our interactive map below to visit all of the artists!
What will I see on Routes to Art? Routes to Art showcases artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, wood carving, ceramics, beading, pottery, and more. During Routes to Art weekend, the artists are available to answer questions and demonstrate how they create their work. Visitors will meet the artists in person, see live demonstrations of their craft, and have a chance to purchase works directly from the people that create them! You may enter a studio and find a watercolor artist demonstrating a technique, watch a woodworker turning a bowl, or see a ceramic artist working with clay. This is a chance to see more of an artist’s work than you would at a typical venue.
