Free Family Art Day, Saturday, October 20, 2018
The “spooky” version of Tri-County Arts Council’s Free Family Art Day returns October 20th, from 1-4pm at the Arts Council’s studio, 100 West Main Street, Allegany. Kids and their parents will be able to do seasonably inspired art projects together at no charge, enjoying a creative experience that is accessible to everyone.
Craft your own fanged-bat bookmark, “carve” a paper pumpkin, draw a sleek black cat, and make a gaggle of ghosts to decorate your house in preparation for Halloween. A parent must accompany children for this event. No registration is required for this free event.
The Tri-County Arts Council’s first Free Family Art Day in the fall of 2016 was a huge success! Over 250 parents and children filled the Arts Council studio in Allegany to make Halloween-themed projects. Parents and kids had a chance to express their creativity in projects that they could take home with them that same day. This event demonstrated that there is a real need in the community for FREE art events that serve the entire community, making art experiences accessible to everyone.
We want to thank Fox Financial for seeing the value of bringing these types of events to the community and stepping up to sponsor events. If you would like to volunteer to help, please call (716-372-7455) or email our Education Coordinator, Ardyth Van Scoy-Rupp at email@example.com.
