Eileen Weishan
Eileen Weishan Designs
Eileen has enjoyed and been involved in art since she was young with the influence of her Grandmother. Guided by her mother, she began sewing clothes when she was 10 years old, gradually progressing to tailoring and much later, children's clothes for her grandchildren. Embroidery, especially counted cross stitch, open work and pulled thread has been a joy and challenge to learn. A few years ago she decided to try beading.
Brining all of these elements together has brought Eileen full circle. It has been very enjoyable and satisfying to combine sewing, embroidery and beading to create the details that go into a scarf or purse. Eileen enjoys the feel or 'hand' of the textiles and using small seed beads for emphasis and embellishment.
