Services

CCAC Services help artists and arts organizations perform, create, present, perform, and promote the arts in our communities. CCAC services include:

Grants

CCAC has been designated as a Decentralization Site by the New York State Council on the Arts, and as such administers the New York State Council on the Arts' Decentralization Program (DEC). DEC makes small grant awards to arts organizations and individual artists in Cattaraugus County. At the request of the New York State Council on the Arts, CCAC also administers the New York State Council on the Arts' Decentralization Program in Allegany County in 2001. Kimberly Driscoll manages both programs and is also onsite to help with grant writing and grant research. Learn more about our grant opportunities.

Arts Management

CCAC is here to serve our organizational constituents and artists with arts management resources, database information, and technical and developmental assistance. CCAC recognizes the positive economic impact that the arts have on our local economy and works with organizations and artists to develop ways to strengthen capacities.

Equipment loans

CCAC provides art display racks to all the county libraries to showcase the works of local artists. We also have additional metal display racks, easels, and two tents available to loan to artists and organizations for use in exhibits and outdoor shows.

Partnerships

CCAC is continually seeking new opportunities to serve our local community and arts community through partnerships and co-sponsoring arrangements. Though CCAC provides no financial support for these endeavors, we provide marketing, database, technical assistance, strategic and planning services, and media relations support.

CCAC partners with: Cattaraugus County Department of Tourism and Economic Development for the production and promotion of Routes to Art; the Town and Village of Allegany and St. Bonaventure University to produce BonaGany, a fine arts and cultural festival; the Greater Olean Chamber of Commerce to produce the 87th annual Art in Park; Allegany State Park to produce a series of free arts workshops, as well as a Full Moon Family Beach party, with local music and kids crafts activities; and Woodland in the City on a series of artist-decorated public art works throughout the City of Olean.

Informational & Marketing Services

  • Bimonthly newsletter: features announcements for exhibitions, calls for artists, artist spotlights, updates on grant opportunities, as well as a regional art calendar of events. Additionally, each month we market the work of an artist in our newletter's spotlight section.
  • The CCAC arts directory is a free marketing resource offered to artists. By registering for an account, artists can showcase three photos of their work in our searchable database, along with their contact information and statements/descriptions.
  • We also offer professional development workshops on the "business of art," to help our members market their art and build individual branding strategies.
